 Pole Affinity Xmas Party!
Friday  4th December  8pm
   Q Club -Quigleys -Bideford

 This event is open to all  Pole Affinity students -current, old,  & new & those of you with a genuine interest in Pole for Fitness ...even if you have never tried it but are curious to find out more!
 You are also welcome to bring friends & family to show off what you do!
 
It will be a chance to meet other people who pole and try out your moves, or just watch others to there stuff!
There are 2 poles permanently in Quigleys and I will put another 2 up which I will take down at 10pm when doors open to the public.
(After 10pm - Option to stay in Quigleys or night on the town! & on to Caesars! ..pole in there!!)
 
I would be great if some of you would like to do a routine this can be a class routine or you can make your own up, remember there are going to be 4 poles so ok to do group stuff.  This is just for fun so will be very informal.

 
 
Please let me know if you can /cannot make it, & if your bringing anyone so I can put names on the list & also whether you would like to do a routine/performance.

POLE DIVAS
Pole Diva's is a National  Pole Dance Competion with regional heats all over the Uk & our nearest will be in Bristol.
If anyone would like to go watch we can go up as a group and make a night of it, stay in Bristol & hit the town after! ..they have a few clubs with poles!
If anyone would like to be brave and participate then go for it! there is amateur and advanced levels and i'm sure there will be some of us to cheer you on and support you!
Please let me know if you are interested in participating or just coming along to see what it's all about and watch some amazing pole dancers perform.

ENTRY LEVELS
PoleDivas has 3 entry levels to allow more pole dancers to have the chance to compete.

Amateur This level is designed for students, to have their first experience of a competition. Competitors entering this level must NOT be a professional dancer; this includes podium & club dancers, dance instructors or pole performers of any kind.
There are restrictions on moves permitted in this category. Focus is on dance and spins.
Competitors are only permitted to enter at the Amateur Level for one year.

Advanced Amateur This level is designed for advanced level students wanting to enter a competition, but do not want to compete against their own teacher or instructor. Competitors entering this level must NOT be a professional dancer; this includes podium & club dancers, dance instructors or pole performers of any kind.
The Competitor IS permitted to invert during his/her routine. There are no restrictions on moves permitted.

Professional This level is for professional dancers and instructors, but this section is open to all regardless of status.
There are no restrictions on moves permitted.

A FREE event to promote 5x 30mins of exercise each week.
Here's just one fun & different way to do this!
Learn a Burlesque inspired chair dance routine.
Bring: friends, feather boas/ scarfs & a smile.
Lasts approx 30-45mins max

 

5 x 30 more active, more often is a Devonwide 'Physical activity for health' partneship project part funded by Sport England and the Big lottery fund. Inspiring the name of the 5 x 30 project is wide recognition from health organisations that for long term health and well being peopl should endeavour to participate in 30 mins of moderate physical activity 5 times a week.

The project has placed activators across Devon to help comunities set up and establish new physical activity opportunities. Your Local activator is there to provide support and information on all asects of setting up a physical activity club, class, group or vent/workshop whether this be locating an instructor or finding suitable funding to get up and running.

WE ARE LAUNCHING THE PROJECT WITH A WEEK OF WACKY EVENTS AND THEN A DAY OF ACTIVITIES..........

UK AMATEUR POLE PERFORMERS COMPETITION

This competition is purely for amateur pole performers and dancers. We class an Amateur as someone who has learnt at home or at a school, who has never earnt any money from pole Fitness, Dancing, Stripping, or any kind of pole performance or teaching related exercise. If a participant is found to have earnt money from this then they will be immediately disqualified.

The Competition will consist of 3 regional heats and a grand final.

Regional Heats will consist of 3 Levels and there will be no more than 8 contestants in each level The winner from each level in the regional heats will go through to the final. We will also be offering an additional place in the final for the best overall perfomance of the night at each heat, this will be chosen by the judges on which performance they enjoyed the most so make them fun no matter what level.

We will also be running a online competiton for people to upload or send us their video entries the winner and runner up will go forward to the final. 


There is no charge to enter this competition this is all about the fun of performing.......

Fab opportunity for everyone from class (old & new) to meet socially and put those new found skills into practice!  Family & Friends invited from 9pm.

Come share in a glass low alcohol bubbly on arrival, use of hot tub so bring your cosies.

Funky warm -up at 8:00pm followed by open practice till 8:50pm
